1. Where is Lanier Christian Academy Located?
LCA is located at 5285 Strickland Road, Flowery Branch, GA 30542.
We currently lease space from Chestnut Mountain Church.
2. What is the current enrollment at LCA?
Total enrollment for 2018/19 is 415 students.
K5-5th grade: 174
Middle through High School: 241
3. What curriculum is used?
LCA uses Bob Jones Press (Math, Language Arts, Phonics, History), ACSI (Bible, Science)
Middle School and High School - college preparatory curriculum with all subjects taught from a Biblical worldview. A complete list of the curriculum can be requested for all grades.
4. How many students per class?
Generally, the elementary classes average 16 students and the middle/high school average 18 students.
5. What is the length of the school day?
K5 – 5th TM grades: 8:00 – 2:50 p.m.
K5 – 5th UM® grades: M,W,F 8:00 – 2:50 p.m.
6th - 12th TM grades: 8:00 – 3:35 p.m.
6th- 12th UM® grades: M,W,F 8:00 – 3:35 p.m.
6. What organized sports are offered at LCA for grades 6th-12th?
Fall Sports: cross country, girls' volleyball, cheerleading and football
Winter Sports: basketball, swim team, and cheerleading
Spring Sports: baseball, softball, soccer for both guys/girls, co-ed tennis, co-ed golf
***Home school students can participate in our athletic programs.
7. Does LCA have Bible classes as well as Chapel?
Bible is an integral part of the curriculum at LCA and is a required subject in all grades. Teachers will teach from a Biblical worldview in all subject areas. All students also have a chapel assembly every other Wednesday. On the alternate weeks our middle/high school students meet in grade level D-Groups to disciple our students to grow in their personal walk with the Lord. D-Groups are led by faculty members and parent volunteers.
8. Does LCA have an after-school program?
We have child care available until 5:30 at an additional cost (outside of tuition) for elementary/middle school students.
9. Is LCA an accredited school?
Lanier Christian Academy has dual accreditation with SACS/AdvancED and ACSI (Assoc. Of Christian Schools International).
10. Does LCA have a dress code or uniforms?
Yes, our students wear uniforms that are purchased through the uniform vendor, The Target Group. Uniform shirts, jackets and hoodies must be school branded/monogrammed.
11. What is the Faculty member requirements?
It is the policy of LCA to hire only committed Christian teachers that have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, and are certified to teach. Many have advanced education degrees.
