Walk of Faith 2016
A Day of Blessing for Lanier Christian Academy
Friday, October 7th will begin like any other day, with students walking up the sidewalk prepared for yet another day at school. The day is destined to be different however, as students from the newly formed Lanier Christian Academy come together in anticipation of the celebration that will soon unfold at LCA, as we celebrate the 9th Annual Walk of Faith.
On this date the students, faculty, staff, and parents of Lanier Christian Academy, formed by the unification of Heritage Academy and North Georgia Christian School, will begin the day in prayer. Students will gather together on the Poplar Springs property, the future site of Lanier Christian Academy, to pray for our school, its students, faculty, staff, and even our country.
The day will not end here however, as students gather again on the field to celebrate all God’s blessings. The sounds of laughter and joy will be heard all over the field as students come together to test their skills, play together, and even dunk their favorite teacher!
Not only do we enjoy this day of celebration, but this annual fundraiser provides funds for the school to enhance teacher instruction and the overall student experience. Your gift to the 9th Annual Walk of Faith helps ensure we provide the very best for the students we are privileged to serve.
Thank you to each and every supporter of the 9th Annual Walk of Faith and for the difference your gift continues to make in the life of the Lanier Christian Academy students. There is still time for you to make YOUR contribution.
When making your donation please use the secure link below, and be sure to enter the student(s) sponsored as "In Honor Of." (Is the link below on this page for donors to make their gift?)

Thank you for making the difference in the lives of LCA students!
Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program
Since 2009, many parents, alumni, and friends have directed a portion of their state tax liability to LCA through the Georgia Private School Tax Credit Program. Funds received through this effort are restricted to need-based financial aid for qualifying students.
Anyone with a tax liability to the State of Georgia can participate, regardless of whether you receive a refund or owe additional taxes to the state. All participants receive a federal charitable deduction as well as the dollar-for-dollar tax credit on Georgia taxes.
The State of Georgia makes limited funds available, beginning January 1st of each year. Other Christian and independent schools participate in this program as well and are competing with LCA to qualify for these funds before the cap is reached. Your timely participation is crucial to ensure that LCA captures as much as possible.
While your participation in the Re-Direct Your Taxes program makes crucial tuition assistance funds available to qualifying LCA families, it is not considered a donation. It is a re-direction of your tax obligations to the state. Please understand that your participation should not replace your annual donation to LCA through the Annual Fund.
Submit your 2017 GOAL Tax Credit Form online today by visiting www.goalscholarship.org. For questions please the Lanier Christian Academy Advancement Office at 678-828-8350.
The Annual Fund at Lanier Christian Academy
The Annual Fund is an annual campaign whose success is dependent upon the voluntary contributions of faculty, staff, parents, alumni, grandparents, board members, parents of alumni, and friends of LCA.
Your generous, tax-deductible gift to the Annual Fund makes a difference in the lives of our students by providing direct funding for educational enhancements that tuition alone does not cover. It reflects your belief in and commitment to the work taking place on behalf of students at Lanier Christian Academy.
In fact, the Annual Fund is first priority in fundraising for the school because it helps supply operating dollars in support of LCA programs. The Annual Fund allows us to provide enhancement to our student’s education over and above the cost of tuition.
What you need to know about the LCA Annual Fund
Why does LCA need the Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund is an annual campaign whose success is dependent upon the voluntary contributions of faculty, staff, parents, alumni, grandparents, board members, parents of alumni, and friends of LCA. The Annual Fund allows us to provide enhancements to our students’ education over and above the cost of tuition.
What does my contribution to the Annual Fund do?
From Kindergarten to twelfth grade, each student benefits directly from your generosity. Your gifts help to fund exceptional learning opportunities for each student by supporting classroom materials, programs, athletics, arts, regular campus program, technology, and educational opportunities for our faculty in their respective fields.
How much should I give?
LCA needs as many members of the LCA family to give as possible. However, we are thankful for your participation at whatever level is comfortable for you. Working together as a community, all our gifts combined provide tremendous benefit for our LCA students. The only gift too small is no gift at all.
How can I make my gift?
The easiest way to make your gift is online. You can choose to make a one-time gift or a recurring credit card donation online. These gifts are processed through the secure online provider. LCA welcomes donations by cash or check - simply mail your check to Lanier Christian Academy. If you wish to make a planned gift or transfer of stock, please contact Debbie Lee in the Office of Institutional Advancement.
What is a “recurring gift?”
A recurring gift allows donors to spread out their gift over the course of the year and provide LCA with steady funding throughout the year. Those who participate are often able to meet their goal of making a larger contribution without the burden of making that gift all at once. You determine the amount you wish to contribute monthly and our on-line giving will relay that information to LCA. This also helps eliminate the cost of direct mail solicitations, pledge reminders, and postage.
Is my gift to the LCA Annual Fund tax deductible?
Yes. You will receive a confirmation of your donation and an annual statement of all donations to assist with your tax preparation.
Does LCA qualify for a matching gift program?
Yes. Lanier Christian Academy is an independent K-12, and many corporations have matching fund programs for secondary education. Please check with the Human Resources department of your company to see if they offer a matching gift program.
Do foundations and corporations look at LCA giving figures?
Absolutely. Foundations and corporations look at participation figures from parents, faculty, staff, board of directors, alumni, and constituent groups when LCA approaches them with grant proposals. High participation from the LCA family sends a strong message about our school community to foundations and corporations.
