    Spelling Bee
    LCA 1st-8th graders are competed at the ACSI Spelling Bee at Prince Avenue Christian School against 5 other Christian schools in our area and here are the results going into the final round! Our 8th grade girls took the 3 top places in the semi-finals!!! Woo hoo!!!

    Averie Paxol, 3rd place!! Way to go ladies!!! Also going on to the finals are:

    Pastor's Appreciation Breakfast
    LCA enjoyed hosting the area pastors for a breakfast this week.  The students did a wonderful job of reciting, singing, and competing in a sword drill.

    The Lost Coin Food Pantry
    LCA Elementary students collected can food goods for the 100th day of school. Each class had a goal of collecting 100 items. The students then helped take the food to The Lost Coin Food Pantry.

    Elementary Christmas Program
     It was a wonderful night as our elementary students helped us celebrate our Saviors birth through singing and instruments.

    LCA Singers
    LCA Singers gave a superior performance December 3 at Gainesville First United Methodist Church.  Two different classes pulled together to make a united choral group.  The students executed the entire concert from memory with selections ranging from traditional to pop and Broadway.  Friends and family members attended and expressed their appreciation for the students’ hard work.

    Third Grade Field Trip
    The third grade enjoyed a field trip to the William Harris Homestead.  They experienced what it was like to live on a farm in the 1800's through demonstrations and lectures.

    Grandparents Day
    On Friday, November 2nd,  LCA students were excited to spend the morning with their grandparents.  Grandparents enjoyed performances, an art show, a book fair, and lunch with their grandchildren.

    The Proud Minded Princess

    The 7th grade performing arts class performed The Proud Minded Princess.  The play was a comedy-spoof of Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew”.  It also had a message about Christ and the Church.  It was directed by Mrs. Jenkins.

    Walk of Faith
    LCA students, parents, and teachers gathered together on Friday, October 12 for the Walk of Faith.  They stopped to pray at various stations around the school for the administration, teachers, our country, and missions.  We are thankful for the opportunity to come together for prayer and fellowship.
