At LCA, we believe that everyone on our campus belongs here. How did we reach that conclusion? Prayer. There are lots of steps in admission of students and in the hiring of faculty and staff, but the key is prayer. We believe there is one true God who exists in three persons. That He sent his one and only Son to die in our place, forgive our sins, and reconcile us to himself. We believe He did so because He loves us and wants to spend eternity with each of us.
In addition, we believe that God loves kids. In Luke 17, Jesus said it would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone around your neck than to cause harm to one of His little ones! God values His children highly, a Truth that we take seriously!
So, at LCA we respect our students and try to affirm them about their divine value. We strive to encourage students to live in and up-into the Truth about who they are in Christ. We purpose to avoid condemnation and try as much as possible to disciple, encourage, and grow them in knowledge, understanding, and relationship with Jesus (Ephesians 1:18-19).
This is the basis for all Student Life at LCA; from daily atmosphere and environment, spiritual growth and discipleship, to code of conduct and the approach to discipline, and athletics, arts and activities. Everything has an underlying purpose of teaching, promoting, and affirming who they are in Christ and discovering His purpose and plan for their lives.
