The Annual Fund at Lanier Christian Academy

The Annual Fund is an annual campaign whose success is dependent upon the voluntary contributions of faculty, staff, parents, alumni, grandparents, board members, parents of alumni, and friends of LCA.

Your generous, tax-deductible gift to the Annual Fund makes a difference in the lives of our students by providing direct funding for educational enhancements that tuition alone does not cover.  It reflects your belief in and commitment to the work taking place on behalf of students at Lanier Christian Academy.

In fact, the Annual Fund is first priority in fundraising for the school because it helps supply operating dollars in support of LCA programs.  The Annual Fund allows us to provide enhancement to our student’s education over and above the cost of tuition.

What you need to know about the LCA Annual Fund

Why does LCA need the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund is an annual campaign whose success is dependent upon the voluntary contributions of faculty, staff, parents, alumni, grandparents, board members, parents of alumni, and friends of LCA.  The Annual Fund allows us to provide enhancements to our students’ education over and above the cost of tuition.

What does my contribution to the Annual Fund do?

From Kindergarten to twelfth grade, each student benefits directly from your generosity.  Your gifts help to fund exceptional learning opportunities for each student by supporting classroom materials, programs, athletics, arts, regular campus program, technology, and educational opportunities for our faculty in their respective fields.

How much should I give?

LCA needs as many members of the LCA family to give as possible.  However, we are thankful for your participation at whatever level is comfortable for you.  Working together as a community, all our gifts combined provide tremendous benefit for our LCA students.  The only gift too small is no gift at all.

How can I make my gift?

The easiest way to make your gift is online.  You can choose to make a one-time gift or a recurring credit card donation online.  These gifts are processed through the secure online provider.  LCA welcomes donations by cash or check - simply mail your check to Lanier Christian Academy.  If you wish to make a planned gift or transfer of stock, please contact Debbie Lee in the Office of Institutional Advancement.

What is a “recurring gift?”

A recurring gift allows donors to spread out their gift over the course of the year and provide LCA with steady funding throughout the year.  Those who participate are often able to meet their goal of making a larger contribution without the burden of making that gift all at once.  You determine the amount you wish to contribute monthly and our on-line giving will relay that information to LCA.  This also helps eliminate the cost of direct mail solicitations, pledge reminders, and postage.

Is my gift to the LCA Annual Fund tax deductible?

Yes.  You will receive a confirmation of your donation and an annual statement of all donations to assist with your tax preparation.

Does LCA qualify for a matching gift program?

Yes.  Lanier Christian Academy is an independent K-12, and many corporations have matching fund programs for secondary education.  Please check with the Human Resources department of your company to see if they offer a matching gift program.

Do foundations and corporations look at LCA giving figures?

Absolutely. Foundations and corporations look at participation figures from parents, faculty, staff, board of directors, alumni, and constituent groups when LCA approaches them with grant proposals.  High participation from the LCA family sends a strong message about our school community to foundations and corporations.
